Creamy Patina began as an idea that most people told us wouldn’t work — turning the obsession, engineering, and emotion of fine watchmaking into something playful, wearable, and unexpected.

When we launched our first collection on Kickstarter, the response was immediate and overwhelming. Thousands of backers around the world supported the project, propelling it into the top 1% of campaigns in the platform’s history.

It wasn’t just validation of a product, but of a mindset: that people were ready for luxury that didn’t take itself too seriously.

That moment set the direction for Creamy Patina — to keep designing beautifully made objects with conviction, humour, and complete independence from how the industry thinks things “should” be done.

People wanted a piece of us - either through the media, or mostly through word of mouth. Which is the way we want it - because we hate the content machine. We were then acquired by a historic British Horology House!

THE CUFFLINKS WERE THE WARNING.

Creamy Patina began with irritation — an industry obsessed with theatre, not objects. So we did something wrong on purpose: we made fully functioning miniature watches and put them on cufflinks.

They weren’t meant to make sense. They were meant to make a point.

That same attitude brings us here. What you see now isn’t a pivot — it’s the inevitable next step. Proper mechanical watches, made seriously, without scarcity games or permission.
